Terms of Service

Welcome to FastEgy — the Official National Distributor of Hikvision in Egypt, proudly serving homes, businesses, and integrators since 2008. These Terms govern your use of www.fastegy.net and the purchase of our products.

1. Acceptance & Governing Law

By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. These Terms are governed by:

  • Egyptian Consumer Protection Law No. 181 of 2018
  • Egyptian Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020
  • Egyptian E-Commerce Law and Electronic Signature Law No. 15 of 2004
  • Egyptian Civil Code and Commercial Code

Disputes fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Cairo, Egypt.

2. About FastEgy

  • Legal name: FastEgy
  • Role: Official National Distributor (ND) of Hikvision in Egypt; authorized reseller of Hikvision, HiLook, EZVIZ, Pyronix, Ajax, and partner brands
  • Head office: السراج مول البرج الأول، مدينة نصر، القاهرة، مصر
  • Operating since: 2008
  • Commercial Register & Tax ID: available on request

3. Your Account

  • Must be 18+ to create an account
  • Provide accurate, current, complete information
  • Keep your credentials confidential
  • Promptly notify us of unauthorized access
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account
  • We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms

4. Product Information & Pricing

  • All prices are in Egyptian Pounds (EGP)
  • VAT applied where legally required (14% standard rate)
  • Product images are for illustration; colors or packaging may differ slightly
  • Technical specifications follow the manufacturer's official datasheets
  • Prices may change until the order is confirmed; we honor the price at the moment of confirmation
  • Stock availability is best-effort and may change rapidly during high demand
  • We reserve the right to limit quantities, reject suspicious orders, and correct obvious pricing errors

5. Order Process & Payment

Offer validation: Quotations are valid for 1 week; extension possible subject to stock availability and exchange rate stability.

Order confirmation: An order is accepted only upon explicit confirmation by FastEgy via email or phone. Adding to cart does not form a contract.

Payment methods:

  • Cash on Delivery (selected areas)
  • Bank transfer (details supplied after confirmation)
  • 100% cash against purchase order (default for project orders)
  • Electronic payment (Visa, Mastercard, Fawry, InstaPay) — via PCI-DSS processors

Invoicing: Tax invoices comply with Egyptian Tax Authority (ETA) e-invoicing requirements. For B2B, provide commercial register & tax ID before payment.

6. Shipping & Delivery

  • Coverage: all Egyptian governorates
  • Estimated delivery: 1–5 business days (Cairo/Giza), 2–7 business days (other governorates)
  • Out-of-stock or project items: up to 4 months from receipt of advance payment
  • Risk of loss passes to you upon delivery
  • Remote support (site survey, installation assistance) available upon request for an additional fee
  • Force majeure delays are not FastEgy's liability

7. Returns, Refunds & Exchanges

Our full policy is in our Return & Exchange Policy. Summary:

  • Defective products: return or exchange within 30 days with a technical report from the authorized distributor
  • Return conditions: original invoice, unused product in original sealed packaging, matching serial number, no physical damage or tampering
  • Cameras & recorders: must not have been installed or configured
  • Networking equipment: must not have been set up
  • Refund processing: 7–14 business days via the original payment method
  • Shipping fees: non-refundable unless the return is due to our error
  • Custom / project orders: may be non-returnable — confirmed at order placement

8. Warranty

  • All products carry the official manufacturer warranty from Hikvision, HiLook, EZVIZ, or the respective brand
  • Hikvision standard warranty: 1 year (minimum), up to 3 years depending on product line
  • Select premium project-oriented Hikvision products: 5-year global warranty
  • EZVIZ consumer products: typically 1 year (check specific product page)
  • Warranty covers manufacturing defects under normal, intended use
  • Warranty is void if the product is tampered with, repaired by unauthorized parties, damaged by misuse, exposed to liquid/power surges beyond the datasheet specs, or if the serial number is removed/altered
  • Warranty claims require the original invoice and matching serial number
  • RMA processing follows Hikvision's official RMA policy

9. Prohibited Uses

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the site for any unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive purpose
  • Resell products under a different brand or remove/alter labels, serial numbers, or packaging
  • Use Hikvision, HiLook, or EZVIZ branding to falsely imply partnership
  • Install CCTV in a way that violates privacy rights of third parties (especially public areas, bathrooms, dressing rooms — prohibited by Egyptian Penal Code and PDPL 151/2020)
  • Transmit viruses, malware, or harmful code
  • Attempt unauthorized access to our systems or other customers' accounts
  • Use automated scrapers, bots, or crawlers without written permission
  • Impersonate any person or entity

Legal & ethical installation: You are responsible for complying with Egyptian privacy laws when installing surveillance equipment. We do not support use for illegal surveillance.

10. Intellectual Property

All site content — text, logos, photography, videos, illustrations, software — is owned by FastEgy or its licensors and protected by Egyptian and international copyright/trademark law. Unauthorized reproduction, modification, or distribution is prohibited.

Hikvision, HiLook, EZVIZ, Pyronix, Ajax, and all other brand names/logos are registered trademarks of their respective owners.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent allowed under Egyptian law:

  • FastEgy's total liability is limited to the purchase price of the relevant product
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (lost profit, data loss, business opportunity)
  • We are not liable for service interruptions due to force majeure, cyberattacks, or third-party failures
  • We are not liable for incorrect installation performed by unauthorized third parties

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for: (a) gross negligence, (b) willful misconduct, (c) product defects causing personal injury, or (d) rights that cannot be limited under Egyptian Consumer Protection Law 181/2018.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify FastEgy and hold it harmless from any claims, losses, damages, or legal expenses arising from your breach of these Terms, misuse of our products, or unlawful installation/use of surveillance equipment.

13. Privacy & Data Protection

Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy , compliant with Egyptian Personal Data Protection Law 151/2020 and Executive Regulations 81/2025.

14. Dispute Resolution

  • We encourage resolving disputes amicably — contact info@fastegy.org first
  • Consumer disputes may also be escalated to the Egyptian Consumer Protection Agency
  • Unresolved disputes fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Cairo, Egypt

15. Changes to These Terms

We may amend these Terms at any time. Material changes are posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

16. Severability

If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
