The EZVIZ app is your command centre for all EZVIZ smart cameras, doorbells, locks, and sensors. Beyond basic live viewing, the app hides powerful features that many users overlook. Here are tips to get the most out of your EZVIZ experience.
Customise Detection Zones
In camera settings, draw activity zones to focus motion detection on specific areas—your front door, driveway, or shop entrance. This eliminates false alerts from passing cars, swaying trees, and pedestrians on the public pavement.
Schedule Sleep Mode
Use the sleep schedule to automatically disable the camera during hours when you are home and do not need monitoring. The camera powers down its lens and stops recording, saving storage and giving you privacy on a predictable schedule.
Share Device Access
Invite family members or trusted employees to view cameras without sharing your login credentials. In the app, go to Device Settings > Share Device and enter their EZVIZ account email. You can revoke access at any time.
Enable Smart Notifications
Turn on person detection (available on most models) to receive alerts only when a human is detected—not for pets, shadows, or passing vehicles. This dramatically reduces notification noise and makes each alert more meaningful.
Two-Way Audio Tips
Use the talk button to communicate through the camera. Hold the button for walkie-talkie mode, or enable hands-free mode for a natural conversation. Adjust the speaker volume in settings to match your environment.
CloudPlay and Local Playback
Access recorded clips from both cloud storage (if subscribed) and the local microSD card through the same playback interface. Use the timeline scrubber to navigate to specific times, or filter by event type (motion, person, sound).
