EZVIZ Cloud Storage Plans: Which Cloud Plan Is Right for You?

Understanding EZVIZ cloud recording options for continuous protection

Why Cloud Storage for Home Cameras?

Local storage on microSD cards has limitations: cards can be stolen along with the camera, their capacity is limited, they eventually wear out, and accessing footage requires being near the camera. EZVIZ CloudPlay solves these problems by automatically uploading recordings to secure cloud servers. Even if your camera is stolen or damaged, your footage remains safe in the cloud and accessible from anywhere via the EZVIZ app. For Egyptian homeowners and small businesses, cloud storage provides peace of mind.

How CloudPlay Works

Once subscribed, your camera automatically uploads event-triggered recordings to EZVIZ encrypted cloud servers. You can view, download, and share cloud recordings through the app or the web portal.

Cloud recording works alongside local storage, not as a replacement. If the internet goes down, local recording continues. When connectivity is restored, missed uploads resume automatically.

Available Plans

Free Plan: All EZVIZ cameras come with a basic free cloud service. You get a limited number of clips saved for 24–48 hours. This lets you try cloud storage before committing.

7-Day Event Recording: The most popular plan for home users. All event-triggered recordings are saved for 7 days. Ideal for those who check camera alerts daily.

30-Day Event Recording: For those who want longer retention. Perfect for summer homes, seasonal properties, or businesses that may need footage for insurance claims. Recommended for Egyptian businesses using EZVIZ cameras.

7-Day Continuous Recording: Records everything, not just events. The camera streams 24/7 to the cloud. Requires a stable internet connection with at least 2 Mbps upload speed per camera.

30-Day Continuous Recording: The premium tier — 24/7 recording saved for 30 days. Maximum coverage and retention for commercial applications.

Pricing Considerations

EZVIZ cloud plans are priced per camera, with discounts for annual subscriptions. Multi-camera bundles offer additional savings. For most home users, the 7-day event recording plan offers the best value.

Bandwidth Requirements

Event recording requires intermittent bandwidth. A standard Egyptian home internet connection can comfortably support 2–3 cameras with event recording.

Continuous recording is more demanding — each 1080p camera needs 1–2 Mbps of constant upload. Check your monthly data cap on your internet plan before enabling continuous recording on multiple cameras.

Privacy and Security

EZVIZ encrypts all cloud video data in transit (TLS 1.2) and at rest (AES-256). No one — including EZVIZ employees — can view your recordings without access to your account.

Getting Started

To subscribe: open the EZVIZ app → select your camera → tap "CloudPlay" → choose your plan → complete payment. The service activates instantly. FastEgy recommends starting with a monthly 7-day event recording plan for evaluation before committing to an annual subscription.
